About The Buzzer

The Buzzer is a daily quiz in three questions. One to warm up, one worth thinking about, and one designed to catch you — and every answer comes with the reason behind it.

The reason is the point. A quiz that only tells you the answer is a scoreboard; a quiz that tells you why is worth five minutes. Most of our questions are built on the thing people misremember rather than the thing they have never heard of, which is a more interesting kind of wrong.

We write every question ourselves and check every claim before it goes out. When something is genuinely disputed we say so rather than picking a side and sounding certain. We are an independent publisher, not affiliated with any quiz league, broadcaster or publication.
